Method
- Prepare the molds: Arrange your silicone molds on a baking sheet.
- Mix the dry ingredients: In a saucepan, mix agar-agar powder, cocoa powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- Add the liquids: Add water (or plant milk), maple syrup (or agave), molasses, and vanilla to the dry ingredients. Whisk until smooth.
- Bring to a boil: Heat over medium-high heat until boiling, whisking continuously for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Reduce heat and add extras: Remove from heat and add chopped dried fruits, orange zest (if using), and extracts. Mix well.
- Pour into molds: Quickly pour the mixture into prepared molds before it thickens.
- Cool: Let the molds cool at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 1 to 2 hours until firm.
- Unmold and enjoy: Once firm, carefully unmold the gummies.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5-7 days. These can also be frozen for longer storage. Do not reheat.
