  • 1 pound Fresh Lump Crab Meat
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter or Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 Shallot, finely minced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning (optional)
  • Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • Sea Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Gently drain the lump crab meat thoroughly and remove any shell fragments.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter or heat the olive oil over medium-low heat.
  3. Add the minced shallot and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened and translucent.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  5. If using, sprinkle in the Old Bay Seasoning and red pepper flakes; stir to combine and cook for 30 seconds.
  6. Carefully add the drained lump crab meat to the skillet, gently folding it into the aromatics.
  7. Heat the crab meat through for 2-3 minutes, taking care not to over-stir.
  8. Remove from heat and drizzle with fresh lemon juice and sprinkle with parsley.
  9. Season with sea salt and black pepper to taste and serve immediately.
