Ingredients
  

  • Freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Water (filtered)
  • Agar-agar powder
  • Maple syrup or agave nectar
  • Fresh orange zest
  • Pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. Zest one orange and juice all oranges to gather the specified amount of juice. Strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the strained orange juice, water, and agar-agar powder. Whisk vigorously for 30 seconds.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then simmer while whisking continuously for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in maple syrup (or agave), orange zest, and a pinch of salt. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  5. Pour the mixture into molds and refrigerate for 2-4 hours until set.
  6. Once set, unmold and serve, possibly garnished with mint or toasted coconut.

Notes

Store the jelly in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5-7 days. Freezing is not recommended.
