- Zest one of the oranges. Peel both oranges and remove seeds and as much white pith as possible.
- Slice the ripe banana and freeze it for at least 4 hours.
- Place the orange segments, frozen banana, coconut milk, vanilla extract, and hemp seeds into a blender.
- Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high, for 45-60 seconds until smooth and frothy.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with maple syrup if needed. If too thick, add more liquid.
- Pour into a chilled glass and garnish with reserved orange zest.
Notes
For an eco-friendly twist, use the zest in the smoothie. For lower calories, substitute coconut milk with unsweetened soy yogurt. Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
