Method
- In a saucepan, combine fresh cranberries, unsweetened cranberry juice, thinly sliced ginger, cinnamon sticks, and star anise. Simmer gently for 10-15 minutes until cranberries burst.
- Remove from heat and stir in maple syrup. Taste and adjust sweetness. Cover and steep for 30 minutes to a few hours.
- Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into your pitcher, pressing solids to extract all liquid.
- To the strained base, add freshly squeezed orange juice and stir well.
- Chill the Jingle Juice base for at least 2-3 hours.
- Just before serving, add chilled sparkling water and gently stir to combine.
- Garnish with fresh orange slices, whole cranberries, and rosemary sprigs. Serve immediately.
