Method
- Warm the milk and activate the yeast with sugar.
- Combine dry ingredients and form a dough.
- Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
- Shape the donuts and let them proof again.
- Heat the oil and fry the donuts until golden brown.
- Fill the donuts with jam using a piping bag.
- Coat in sugar and serve warm.
Notes
Best eaten fresh, but can be stored for up to 2 days in an airtight container. To revive, microwave briefly or warm in the oven.
