Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Fresh Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 Cup Organic All-Purpose Flour, sifted
  • 1 Cup Grass-Fed Milk
  • 2 Large Organic Eggs, room temperature
  • 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Grass-Fed Butter, melted
  • 1/2 Cup Maple Syrup or Honey
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Bean Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder, aluminum-free
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Sea Salt

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) and lightly grease your baking dish.
  2. Prepare the strawberries by washing them gently and removing the stems. Slice them and scatter them in the baking dish.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, maple syrup, eggs, milk, and vanilla paste until smooth.
  4. Sift in flour, baking powder, and sea salt, then fold in gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter over the strawberries without stirring them together.
  6. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown, and let cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Using room temperature ingredients ensures a smooth mixture. Avoid frozen strawberries to prevent excess moisture.
