Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and stir in vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Press two-thirds of the cookie dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Arrange Oreo cookies in a single layer on top of the cookie dough.
- Prepare brownie layer according to the preferred method, either from a boxed mix or scratch, and pour evenly over the Oreo layer.
- Dollop remaining cookie dough over the top.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
Notes
Do not overmix batters to maintain fudginess. Quality ingredients enhance flavor. Allow brownies to cool completely for clean cuts. Line with parchment paper for easy removal.
