Ingredients

Equipment

  • small saucepan
  • whisk
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons
  • mugs

Method

  1. Brew the chai tea and set it aside while you prepare the latte base.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the milk, pumpkin purée, maple syrup, vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, ginger, and salt until smooth and steaming. Do not let it boil.
  3. Add the brewed chai tea to the saucepan and whisk again until fully combined and hot.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or spice if desired, then remove from the heat.
  5. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream and a light sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon, if using. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a richer latte, use whole milk or a barista-style non-dairy milk. Adjust the sweetness to taste, and if you prefer a stronger chai flavor, steep the tea a little longer before adding it to the saucepan.
