Method
- Zest one orange and juice enough oranges to make two cups of juice. Strain to remove seeds.
- Sprinkle agar-agar powder over cold orange juice and let it bloom for two minutes.
- Heat the mixture on medium-low, stirring constantly until it simmers and thickens slightly.
- Mix in the coconut milk, sweetener, vanilla extract, and orange zest until well combined.
- Pour into molds or a dish and let it cool at room temperature for 15 minutes before refrigerating for 2-4 hours to set.
- Once set, gently unmold and serve chilled.
Notes
Ensure agar-agar is boiled properly for it to set. Use fresh juice for best flavor. Store in the refrigerator for up to five days.
