Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a donut baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the plant-based milk, melted vegan butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Transfer the batter into a piping bag and pipe into the donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before removing.
- Combine sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish for coating.
- Brush the warm donuts with melted vegan butter and roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Do not overmix the batter to ensure fluffy donuts. Use a piping bag for neat filling and coat while warm for the best flavor.
