- Wash and dry the asparagus thoroughly; trim the woody ends.
- Set up three shallow bowls with flour mixed with half of the salt and pepper, plant-based milk, and a mixture of panko, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Coat asparagus in the flour, then dip in the soy milk, and finally press into the panko mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) and arrange the coated spears in a single layer in the basket.
- Lightly spray with olive oil and cook for 7 to 9 minutes, shaking halfway through.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Keep the asparagus dry for successful breading. Use a single layer in the air fryer for optimal crispiness.
