Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh organic strawberries (hulled and sliced)
  • 5 to 6 large fresh basil leaves (gently bruised)
  • 1 to 2 scoops premium unflavored collagen peptides
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey or pure maple syrup
  • 2 cups filtered water or chilled coconut water
  • Ice cubes made from filtered water
  • Optional: extra basil and strawberry slices for garnish

Method
 

  1. Wash the organic strawberries and fresh basil leaves under cold running water.
  2. Hull the strawberries and slice them into halves.
  3. Place the strawberries, basil leaves, lemon juice, and sweetener into the blender.
  4. Add the unflavored collagen peptides on top of the fruit.
  5. Pour in the filtered water or coconut water.
  6. Secure the lid and blend on high speed for 30 to 45 seconds until smooth.
  7. Taste and add more honey or lemon juice if needed.
  8. Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes and pour the mixture over the ice.
  9. Garnish with a fresh basil sprig and a thin strawberry slice.
  10. Savor immediately while chilled and frothy.

Notes

This drink is best enjoyed immediately but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake or blend before serving again.
