Refreshing Iced Passion Fruit Tea

Iced Passion Fruit Tea

This homemade iced passion fruit tea is refreshing, fruity, and perfect for any season! Made with real passion fruit and your choice of tea base, it’s a healthy alternative to sugary drinks. Serve it chilled with ice, mint, or lemon for an extra burst of flavor.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes + chilling
  • Yield: 2-3 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 fresh passion fruits (or 1/2 cup bottled passion fruit juice)
  • 23 tea bags (black, green, or herbal)
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • Lemon slices, mint leaves, or ginger (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Boil the water: Heat 4 cups of water until it reaches a boil.
  • Steep the tea: Add the tea bags to a heatproof container and pour the hot water over them. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, then remove the tea bags.
  • Add passion fruit: Cut open the passion fruits and scoop the pulp into the tea. If using bottled juice, pour it in and stir well.
  • Sweeten: While the tea is still warm, stir in honey or sugar until dissolved.
  • Chill: Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled tea over it. Garnish with lemon slices, mint, or ginger.
  • Enjoy your homemade iced passion fruit tea!

Notes

  • Tea base options: Black tea gives a stronger flavor, green tea is milder, and herbal tea (hibiscus, chamomile) makes it caffeine-free.
  • Adjust sweetness: If the tea is too tart, add more sweetener to balance the flavor.
  • For a fizzy version: Mix with sparkling water before serving.
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Shake or stir before serving.
